This December, 2016 the final residential install of the, “Mid- Ohio Valley Community Solar I” project went live totaling over 34,000 Watts (34.5 kW) of installed solar! We want to thank our partners at Mountain View Solar in Berkeley Springs, WV for the extra sales and design expertise that was needed to make this program a success.

Our initial goal was to bring the community together around residential solar. The program provided informational sessions, solar site assessments and system install discounts. In addition the Community Solar I homeowners agreed to direct their donation of a solar electric system to the Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley’s Restore building in Vienna, WV. This project is underway!

We are so pleased with the response that we want to do it again! This March, 2017 we will begin, “Mid-Ohio Valley Community Solar II” to build on and expand our initial experience of the first community group-buy in the region.

This stunning, 16.8kW array in Marietta, OH consists of 56 SolarWorld 300w modules coupled to a pair of SolarEdge inverters.  This project, part of Mid-Ohio Valley Community Solar I was a joint venture between Pickering Energy Solutions (www.sesllc.us) and Mountain View Solar (www.mtvsolar.com).
